Fluvanna County
Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors: Manages priorities such as education, economic development, budget management, Comprehensive Planning, and Capital Improvement Projects.
Fluvanna County Planning Commission: Consists of six appointed citizens; handles administrative matters such as the approval of preliminary site and subdivision plans; holds public hearings on rezoning requests and special use permit requests; makes recommendations to the Board of Supervisors; makes recommendations on land use policy issues and subdivision and zoning ordinances.
Fluvanna County Department of Planning and Community Development: Provides numerous services that relate to the well-being and orderly development of the community. The three primary areas of responsibility include current planning, long range planning, and code enforcement.
Fluvanna County Parks and Recreation: Promotes opportunities for all residents to pursue safe and enjoyable leisure activities in balance with the protection and conservation of Fluvanna County's natural resources.
OUR PURPOSE
The Rivanna River Basin Commission is the regional organization that provides guidance for the stewardship and enhancement of the water and natural resources of the Rivanna River Basin in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The Commission has representatives from these jurisdictions and organizations.
